Artist: Luznerida (Lucy) Rosado Age: 43 Title: Inside a Surrealist Dome Media: Pastel Chalk and Pencils Lucy continues to battle the misconceptions about epilepsy, which in some cultures is considered a form of insanity. She has raised three children, graduated from college, and now works as an interpreter and graphic designer. In recent years, she has begun to have "auras," sensations of light and color illustrated by her drawing. "I was afraid I would not be able to work in my field [because of the auras], but those who are my friends today protect me and always give me the courage to keep going forward. I have found the inner strength and courage within myself to keep on being who I am no matter what." |
