Artist: Deanna T. Age: 10 Title: Reaching Sunlight Media: Colored Pencils Drawing flowers makes Deanna happy, whether they are reaching for the sun or dancing in the wind. "Sometimes I get bad headaches and I sit and paint and it helps me," says Deanna, who has suffered from complex partial seizures since the age of seven. "Flowers are plants with pretty dresses. God takes good care of me, just like he does the flowers." When she grows up, Deanna wants to be a pastry chef and bake beautiful cakes. No doubt they'll be decorated with a flower or two. |
