Age: 20 Title: Carpe Diem - Carpe Nachten (Seize the Day - Seize the Night) Media: Prisma Colors and Watercolors Tamra had been having complex partial seizures since she was ten, but she didn't know it. She called them "the weird thing." Then when she was sixteen and stressed about taking her driver's license test, she had a grand mal seizure. Today she controls her epilepsy through medication, but she still "feels like my life is split down the middle between who I feel I am and who I want to be." Her artwork also represents her "choice between taking a chance and staying where it is safe." |
